Rocketry in Bali

28 & 29th November 2015: We were down in Bali for the Asia Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF2015) Water Rocket Competition as technical observers to their annual rocketry challenge organised by the Japanese Space Agency (JAXA). 14 countries from the Asia Pacific region qualified for the finals with Malaysia sending three teams. The participants had to design their rockets according to the stipulated requirements with the team from Thailand beating the rest of the competition in the Target category. We're glad to be a part of this fantastic and prestigious event and look forward to next year's competition. We had a great time and hope the kids had fun too.

Bring your kids down to the Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre for this weekend's Kuala Lumpur Engineering and Science Fair (‪#‎KLESF2015‬) for a great and fun time. They will get to try out many of the fun and exciting activities available there. I gave a talk to the crowd there today on the importance of teaching kids science using the STEM approach and later on took time to engage them at the Astronautic Technology Sdn Bhd booth promoting the ‪#‎Ardusat‬ satellite kits in which you will be able to code your experiments or projects and send them into space. How cool is that? Do visit for more info. So grab this opportunity and head down to the Mines!!!

Sim Visit to AACE

29th October 2015: We conducted our second simulator centre visit this year to the facilities located at the Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence - AACE to the delight of 40 kids from Sekolah Kebangsaan Leftenan Adnan, Kajang. They also got a tour of the engine room and several safety training rooms. The kids were thrilled as everyone got a chance to manually fly their state of the art A320 flight simulator which included full motion with the added turbulence to make it an experience they won't forget. We hope that they're inspired to choose a career in science or aviation and we owe our deepest gratitude to the wonderful team at AACE. Thank you again for making our dreams come true...
